I loved seeing the rest of Jamie's siblings again. I would've liked to get to know a little more about the characters as well, because Soames writes such amazing and beautiful characters that always leave me wanting to know more about them. I think I would've loved to see more of the growing pains that were referenced in the book, but unfortunately the novella format does not allow for that. There are a few things I would've liked to see more of: their relationship is a big one. It is a cute and quick story about instalove and making your happily ever after. There is not a lot of tension between these two men, despite the stuff that they work up in their own heads. They meet up on Grindr and have an instantaneous connection, one that burns hot and bright. Exhale introduces us to Jamie and Leo, two men desperate for a fairy tale romance in a world that tells them that happily ever after is for everyone else. Sophia Soames allows us to dip our toes back into her London Love universe in her novella, Exhale. I kindly received an ARC from Gay book promotions and this is my voluntary, unbiased review

This novella is best enjoyed after you read Breathe, and I highly recommend. I loved seeing Olive again, loved seeing Luke and Ryan. I really fell in love with Jamie and Leo - they were so sweet together! They were just perfect and I loved seeing how Leo easily fitted into the Walter's family - that strange, loving family that takes care of each other and that welcomes every new member with open arms. And even though this was very much insta love (and that's a trope I usually dislike), it was written in a way that I surprisingly did not mind the insta love like at all! On the contrary - I thought it was sweet and touchy and it felt very organic! Someone he feels comfortable with, someone he can share his life with. To find somebody to love and someone who will love him. This is a beautifully told, sweet story about Jamie Walters, Luke Walters' twin, who wants to find real love.

So when I got the opportunity to read an ARC of this novella, I immediately took it. I loved the characters and how the author described their feelings and inner world. BREATHE was the first book I read by Sophia Soames and I was really overwhelmed with feelings and with how much I loved her writing, the way she unfolds a story.
